Hello, It's been quite some time since I have updated you on all our going ons. Here at Manitoba Living History Society things have not been quiet. Having worked hard on our 1916 outfits we have participated at The Nellie McClung- Centenial Gala and with the Girl Guides at the Manitoba Legislative Building. We've been at Union Station for the 31st Annual Preservative Awards Ceremony. And the Lauch of the First World War Digital Memorial Project. We have put on our School program The People of Red River. In which we talk and demonstrate about the way of life when the Selkirk Settlers came over. We have been to Open Doors Winnipeg at both Upper Fort Garry and Dalnavert House. We have demonstrated at Seven Oaks House. On Canada Day we were at Ross house. We have enjoyed camping at the Manitoba Highland Gathering in Selkirk and at the Arborg Fair and Rodeo. So no we have not been quiet at all, but rather busy and of course when we are not demonstrating our skills, we are researching , honing and learning new skills and working on new outfits, either adding to our costumes or adding a new set of clothing to interpret a new era. We will see you around Manitoba this year, yours truly, Genevieve
